NYC MetaChat drinks mini-meetup? I'll be in NYC on April 6. I'd like to have drinks with you, and so would my wife.→[More:]

We're planning to have dinner at Virgil's that evening. (It's where we ate on our third date.) Anyone want to join us?

Citysearch recommends reservations. Hopefully this doesn't mean it's a bad place for a mini-meetup. Any input?

sure, agro! post something the week before to remind us...we can meet in midtown somewhere--Rudy's or something. (mmm...Virgil's! but it's a terrible meetup place...and you do need reservations there lately)

Rudy's is big, on 9th ave, with a back space too, and they hold "drinking liberally" and other things there too.

Getting back to the thread, I think that Virgil's might be too expensive for some bunnies, but Rudy's is the right price and it seems like the right atmosphere. Feel free not to take my suggestion, but maybe a good idea would be for you and mrs. agro to go to Virgil's and re-enact your date, and then join us at Rudy's after?

We're going to try to do Virgil's for lunch. Rudy's seriously does sound like a better place for a meetup, and now that I've read about it I really want to experience it.

Sorry 'pode, you want us to let you know when we figure out our lunch timing?
