For the record, that was a very good flick. I have to say, though, that Paul Bettany was miscast as the good Doctor Maturin, who O'Brien characterized as a small and ill-favored sort of man.

Also, I don't really get the "no longer a slave" reference.

I have no idea why they didn't cast Gary Oldman as maturin, seemed like such a perfect fit. Yeah it was a lovely film for all that.
