I had a bunny once. I let him have the run of my apartment. It only took about 3 days to train him to use a litterbox, and he was SO CUTE. Man he did shit a lot though. And he sure did chew a lot of wires, too. What's that all about?
Now I feel guilty for not giving my bunny more stuff to chew on. If I ever get another one I'll have rope on hand all the time. My bunny loved the rope fringe on the bottom of my curtains.
I was less than six when he deep-sixed and didn't really understand what dead meant, no need for condolences, although I appreciate the warmheartedness. His hutch was so high up that I couldn't hardly see him anyway. After he ran down the curtain I got Rosie as a replacement, which was much cooler anyway.
My first experience with death was the untimely demise of my hamster Sandy. We had a funeral for him and even a little headstone (a nice shaped rock that I found). I was 7 I think.
