What's on tap for your weekend? I'm off on an early early plane to San Francisco. →[More:]I'll see some of you tomorrow night at Frisbee Girl's, and the rest of you back here online Monday afternoon.
I am planning an assasination but it is hush-hush for the moment. The bug is, I am sure, somewhere rallying his (her?) forces as we speak. My older cat, director of the (of course ineffectual) CIIA (Central Insect Irradication Agency) had this to say, before he paused to lick his balls: "We're on it."
Watching the men's ACC bball tourney, drinking beer. I vacuumed and did all the laundry and dishes yesterday so we could chill 100%. Except for the litterbox cleaning. Enthralling, no?
Mostly chores today: laundry, recycling, cleaning. But there's an activity at the high school tonight so we get a chance to go out for dinner. Tomorrow is fire department board of director's meeting in the morning. Then, a NAP!
I'm off to Chattanooga for the weekend... going to visit my brother and his wife, and spend some time with my awesome 13-yr-old niece. It's a nice drive up into the mountains, and with the sudden onset of warm weather and the trees starting to bloom, I think I'm looking forward to the drive as much as as the visit! :)
I'm sharpening cutlasses, measuring out powder charges, chipping round shot, and charting a course into the enemy harbor. We're going to rape, pillage and burn the place, in that order.
We're going to see Ultraviolet with a friend this afternoon (not my choice). Laundry must be done at some point this weekend. Other than that, I dunno.
Just woke up. Might drive to D.C. to troubleshoot a friend's PC. Might go to the neighborhood tennis court for some rollerskating. Might take dog for a walk. Will go out to blogger dance night.
I shall rise, gird my loins and mount my trust metal steed. Then take a ferry to the wilds of Kitsap county, where I will meet up with my friends and go for a nice long motorcycle ride.
Later, I will meet up with another group of friends and we will have dinner and retire to a local pub for drinks.
Sunday looks like Dim Sum and errands!
Oh, and I forgot! Tonight I'm going to see the Asylum Street Spankers, one of my favorite bands from back in the day in Austin. I used to go see them every Thursday night at the sadly demolished Electric Lounge. (I think there are lofts there now.)
It will be bittersweet and nostalgic and it will make me realize I don't really like where I am in life right now. Yay!
Half gone already, but I'm just getting started. I'm going to clean my house, and then hook up my laptop and try for converting some vinyl to AIFF. We'll see how it goes. Tomorrow--more of the same until late afternoon when I'll depart for pottery class. (This guy is serious, we've got homework and shit...I have to put some handles on some yogurt cups.)
Alright, so the day's almost halfway done, but I still have stuff to do. So I have an episode of Frontline to watch, then I have to write a paper on that. Then I have studying for a very scary midterm that's on Monday. Lastly I have my usual little pile of reading and homework to do for this coming week.
On Sunday I'll hopefuly manage to not get totally lost and confused by muni and find my way to Frisbee's for the meetup!
Today, I'm already mostly late for my friend's senior opera recital (exciting!). Tomorrow, sitting around, cleaning perhaps, cursing the fact I don't live near Fris... :(
