It almost looks like he has been giving her advice from:
A - A Separate Galaxy where the humans/??? have destroyed his kind.
B - The future, where only she can stop the horrific events to come (with some child bearing perhaps??)
C - He is a helpful and playful sprite/sage that only she can see.
D - He is form a post-apocalyptic wasteland here to eat her soul so he may become human again.

I might be reading too much into this, but I doubt it.

I nominate essexjan to the throne of Bunny Surveillance.

I love this picture - it's very serene, and there's an interesting relationship btw the girl and the bunny. I also concur with Miles that this seems like it could be C, a girl allowing her daydreams to take the form of a rather plump, wise-looking bunny.

It's also now my desktop background.
