I was born 30 years too late, I think. I love swing music. And a lot of Jordan's stuff is very close to R&B and rock'n'roll - I like to think of his music as dirty swing.

BTW, the first time I ever heard a Louis Jordan song (but obviously didn't know it was his song at the time) was an old Tom & Jerry toon where Tom sings "Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby" to a girl cat he's trying to woo. I was about seven. Anybody else remember that toon?
