Snack time! I'm having a bag of Hershey's Kissables and a Diet Dr Pepper. You?
Kissables rock. I'm having a Welch's grape soda, myself.

I just had lunch- a stewed chicken crunch wrap and black beans. With a side of dame! Yaaaaay for lunch with dame. We agreed to set boys on fire.

*lets imagination run wild*

spaghetti-o's with meatballs and diet cherry vanilla dr. pepper.

But this isn't snack time for me, I work second shift, this is lunch.
posted by kellydamnit 08 March | 14:18
A handful of blueberries and an english muffin with cheese.

Are Kissables like M&Ms? I haven't tried them yet.
posted by wimpdork 08 March | 14:19
You gonna use gasoline or alcohol to burn us?

I had a piece of vegan chocolate cake. It was actually damn good.
posted by sciurus 08 March | 14:19
wimpdork: yeah, pretty much exactly like M&Ms. But shaped like tiny hershey kisses. They're tasty.

Is Astroglide flammable? Because if I'm going to burn, I have a few last requests.

"I don't want to set the booooooooooooooooys on fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-errrrr!"
posted by matildaben 08 March | 14:22
I'm pretty sure Astroglide is water-based, mike.

I had a congo cookie and coffee.

Heylittlegirlisyourdaddyhome, didhegoandleaveyouallalone? uh huh I got a bad desire, oh oh oh I'm on fire.

Late lunch: (god, I love working at home! Why didn't I find out about this sooner?) half a tuna sandwich, half an oatmeal raisin cookie. There are lime tortilla chips sitting on top of the fridge taunting me, too. Must. Resist. Chips. Must. . . . oh, fuck it. I have no self control.

I had a Payday bar earlier. Payday's almost totally nuts, just like me.
posted by jonmc 08 March | 14:36
I had cheese fries for lunch. When I finally have that heart attack, I will have no one to blame but myself.

It's lunch time here: Chef Boyardee's Beef Ravioli and dičte Pamplemousse to drink.

Diet Pepsi and a four hour phone conference via NetMeeting.
posted by tommasz 08 March | 14:44
late lunch here too: tuna on some lettuce, water. I no longer have tourniquet jeans. I'm damn happy about it. And guys *can* be useful. Like for carrying heavy things and such. :D
posted by chewatadistance 08 March | 14:44
amro, were these cheese fries french fries covered in cheese sauce, or pieces of cheese shaped like french fries? Oh, it doesn't matter, it's awesome either way!

I also love how there are other grown-ups who eat "pasta" out of a can.
posted by mike9322 08 March | 14:46
Well, mike, they were actually waffle-cut fried potatoes covered in melted cheese. I would guess Colby and Monterey Jack, but I could be wrong. They stick them in the salamander and the cheese gets brown on top. As some here know already, they are a sick, sick addiction for me.

*hangs head in shame*

I figure, I'll enjoy the glory days of a fairly fast metabolism, and when it inevitably comes to a screeching halt, I will have the memories of the cheese fries to sustain me.
posted by amro 08 March | 14:52
I just had three crumpets, with cheddar cheese melted on top.

apple.

essexjan! You'll ruin your dinner!

Nothing. I had a couple of fruity girl drinks last night, so I'm on caloric restriction today. (How girly of me!)

But if we're having a boy bonfire, I have s'more fixin's in the cupboard.
posted by jrossi4r 08 March | 15:01
Lunch time here, to, so leftovers from dinner: sole w/ leeks & broccoli w/ sesame, lemon & parmesan. I love it when I actually have time to cook. Have to eat it cold, though, or the officemates will kill me for fishifying the atmosphere.

Also, jonmc: Welch's grape soda? Man, you Americans get all the good junk.
posted by elizard 08 March | 15:02
May I voluteer to be first on the bonboyfire? I'm having an "everything sux" day and would like to get it over with.

Lunch: leftover fettucine with bottled "marinara" (doctored by Science Girl), and a Pilsner Urquell.

Granola bar. It was too sweet.

Can I help set the boys on fire?
posted by Specklet 08 March | 15:35
I made this yesterday (except with real tomatoes - and no honey, or dill, or vinegar, and mine has carrot in it, and more onion), and I'm getting ready to have some right now - for supper, though. And I didn't have lunch, or a snack. With my plaki, I will also have either some delicious feta, or some delicious yogurt. And possibly some sardines.
posted by taz 08 March | 15:47
Also, the picture is not really right. This is actually what I've I'm having. Except mine also has oregano. And of course the real tomato.
posted by taz 08 March | 15:51
I don't snack. I am drinking some water and looking forward to some homemade ravioli tonight though.

Um, why are the boys being set on fire again? Unless we're speaking euphemistically, I would really rather not be set on fire. Things are good.
posted by richat 08 March | 15:55
I had FREE SUSHI for lunch! The good stuff! A bit of sake too.

I hope to set at least one boy on fire, in the good way, sometime in the near future.
posted by matildaben 08 March | 16:02
I kind of broke training, I had eaten sensibly for breakfast and lunch, and then I was weak and ate a crispy cream donut.
posted by King of Prontopia 08 March | 16:02
And yes, I know I spelled it "incorrectly". Fuck them and their K's.
posted by King of Prontopia 08 March | 16:07
We're setting some specific boys on fire- one I have sacrificed and one she has sacrificed. All donations of spare boys are welcome.

Plain bagel with salmon cream cheese.

Oooh ooh and I finally found some pork rinds!
posted by porpoise 08 March | 16:13
Whew...so not ALL boys will be set on fire then. That's a relief.

Carrots (baby) and a hearty dose of psychedelic rock.

"We're setting some specific boys on fire"

I guess that explains the burning sensation.

Oops! Sorry - thought this was the bathroom thread.

Every little kinkajou
always turns out good
Everytime I grunt at you
I thought you understood
People say a scent like ours
Will surely pass
But I know a scent like ours
Will last and last
And baby I was wrong
Not knowing where
your tongue should go
(Where your tongue)
(Where your tongue should go)
But then I wasn't wrong
In knowing how your tongue would grow
(How your tongue)
(How your tongue would grow)
And every little kinkajou
Every one
Every little kinkajou
Every kinkajou
Always turns out good
Insects come and insects go
But our tongues will never lie
Let me bring you fruit nectar
So you won't cry
Cause people say we're omnivores
they can kiss my ass
Right next to my prehensile tail
Where I'll have gas
And baby I was wrong
Not knowing where your tongue should go
(Where your tongue)
(Where your tongue should go)
But then I wasn't wrong
In knowing how your tongue would grow
(How your tongue)
(How your tongue would grow)
And every little kinkajou
Every one
Every little kinkajou
Every single one
Always turns out good
People say a scent like ours
Will surely pass
But I know a scent like ours
Will last and last
And baby I was wrong
Not knowing where
your tongue should go
(Where your tongue)
(Where your tongue should go)

it were black beans and cornbread made by yours truly.

i don't really believe in snacks.

I hate you all. All I've had to eat today is left over coffee. Now I'm stuck at work. I'm sooooo huuuungry... I'd eat a 3 day old dry peanut butter sammich at this point. Heck, bugs are starting to sound tasty. *counts the minutes until lunch*

Hey. It seems like you're all well feed. I think I'm going to start snacking on you!

Cheetos, which are normally not my thing, but I was drawn to the special O-hanami theme, complete with handy map to let you know when the cherry blossoms are supposed to bloom across the country (and a couple recommended spots). It wasn't the hanami-theme specifically... just the desire for crunching and notice of something unusual about the bag.
um, I think I've acquired the insane faddish syndrome of life here...
