So I think I have a new job.

I interviewed with a small firm but I did not really like my potential new boss.

A second large firm called and I met with the reginal guy and liked him. They flew two guys in to meet me and a few days later another flew in. Two phone interviews followed. Everyone was very upbeat. Then two weeks with no response. So I started interviewing with a third firm.

Got home to a voice mail from the HR department at the second firm telling me I just need to sign a few things before they start paying me. Weird.

I think I have a new job!

Are you sure? You don't seem very sure. I mean I'd like to congratulate you, but if you haven't got the job then I'd just look foolish.

Well the HR guy seems sure so I plan to hoist a beer to myself tonight. But it seems they weren't kidding about being self directed. ;)
