I do believe it's possible to be both nostalgic and repulsed cos even shit songs can evoke powerful memories.

It's funny how I can hear songs from my past that I hated at the time and now have an almost grudging respect for - like they've managed to survive this long against all the odds.

Oh man, American Pie. This song has had so many comebacks that there probably isn't a generation that exists that doesn't have a nostalgia thing for it.
