Evidently, I type eighty-two words per minute! Holy turd-muffin, Bartman!

How fast do you type?[More:]
Evidently, I am a good typist, which is strange, because I am self-taught (years of political arguments on IRC) and I type with exactly one finger on my right hand, that being the fuck you finger, and two on the left. Is this how you are supposed to type? Oh, wait, there's another finger on the left hand getting involved as well. Goodness, this is strange. Also, I lift my hands up high no matter what, this being due to the computer lessons. I also type very percussively (I've heard 'you type like a hacker') which sounds excellent on this clickey ancient IBM keyboard.

I also took a Microsoft Word test. Goodness me, there's a shitload of stuff in Word that I didn't use or know about. I figured out how to find most of it, though. Macros and such. I should really make some macros, they seem pretty cool. The first time I'd ever used one was on the test. Odd!

I tap out somewhere around 60 wpm, which is pretty fucking good. I taught myself how to type using one of those old classic manual typewriters by putting tape on the keys and just practicing a hell of a whole lot.

Of course now I feel really self-conscious about my typing as I'm finishing this reply...

I need faster levels on typer shark.

I sure do love the feel of a real good electric typewriter, though. Computer keyboards feel so flimsy and junky - excepting my battle-tank-constructed, clicky, model M keyboard from waybackwhen.

60-something with two fingers. But my Mom was once tested somewhere around 120 or 130.

Wow, I'm slipping. I used to do around 80 - 90 wpm but when I just took that test I got only 65, and lots of errors.

I've been tested at 70 wpm. Of course now I feel like a slow typist compared to some of you. : )

I can do like 90wpm but my net speed gets knocked down by about 10-15 wpm due to errors. It shouldn't be that punitive in this age of spell check.

We should do a 10-key test too. I'm much faster on 10-key.

I have been known to type about 90-100, but I haven't tested myself in about 15 years.

While that makes me look slow in this company, it's faster than I expected.
