Seattle meetup anyone? I suggest March 22 at the Elysian.

Why a weekday? It cuts out the Portland people?

Also, is there a MetaTalk post yet? The vast majority of the Seattle meetup people are MeFites but not Mechatters.

I know. MetaChatters get priority, so I thought I'd see when all the bunnies wanted to meet first, then do a MeTa thread.

We've had other meetups on weekdays, right? I figured: weekends are busier. Would you suggest a Friday night or a Saturday night?

Saturdays give the Portland people travel time. But we could go ahead and have a March meetup on a weekday, and then have another meetup on a weekend in April that will give other folks the time to plan a visit.

A big weekend meetup in April would be much awesomer for me. All my March Saturdays are booked up, except the 11th, and that's kinda soon.

I like your plan of a weeknight in March and a weekend in April.

Go ahead and post the Wednesday meetup on MeTa; we can at least have the Seattle crew. I'll send an email out to the usual out-of-town suspects and see what they think about April. We can maybe do a "rolling meetup" like in Portland where there's a few different get-togethers that people can attend if they are staying the whole weekend.

April looks better than March for me (it looks like I will be battling evildoers in court until March 28 or perhaps longer.) So the April rolling weekend looks good.

What's a "rolling" meetup? And what's the "Elysian"?

A rolling meetup would be a weekend where there are several events throughout, and people can attend one, some, or all of the events. There may or may not be actual rolling involved.

The Elysian is a microbrewery/pub in the Capital Hill area of Seattle. They have delicious beer. We've had a meetup there before.
