What fruits are chock full a magnesium? [More:]
I pulled a muscle (I hope) in my back on Sunday and have been in a great deal of pain all week.

I've been eating bananas because potassium is good for muscles, but my friend told me to go for fruits with magnesium innem, but never told me which fruits.

And if you have any suggestions beyond Advil, Mineral Ice, heat, rest, and fruits containing Mg and K, I could really use them.

Also, if you think I've been unreasonable of late, please understand. The only thing I hate worse than pain is copping to it.

Thanks.
I don't believe there are any. Peanut Butter. Banannas were my first thought. Get you some whole grains and you got yourself a sandwich. Sorry 'Jane.

Heat? If the muscle is inflamed at all, you should be icing it!

Poor bunny!

Drink a lot of water. A lot. Room temp, either, don't be doin' the ice water thing.

My advice to you, pumpkin, so you feel better faster:
Lay flat on your back with your knees up, feet flat on the floor and your chin to your chest. This will align all the bone and muscle in your back. This can relieve the pain while you rest and help you sleep without hurting yourself. If you are experiencing pain while breathing, this posture will help, along with aspirin, to reduce developing pleurisy. As always, alternate hot and cold on the area and drink lots of water.

Wow, thanks, jelly, I just printed that out. That alignment stretch sounds familiar (my mother was in a car accident and had a bad back throughout my childhood); I'll give it a try very soon.

And you other guys, thanks, I'll be feeling better soon, I'm sure.

Especially after I take care of a tree or two.

The above is from the book:
Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Balch & Blach 2000. Published by AVERT, a division of Penguin Putnam Inc. It's got everything in it.

*gives Janus some catnip as per above* :))
