Really nice, or really cool to look at. I think someone could (and probably has) assemble a neat film out of just pictures of abandoned places. How strong would the temptation to whistle be if you were walking around in there alone?
I'd love a film like that, DW... and I've been trying to figure out WHO I could ask to let me into this store to take pics inside. There are no signs saying who is taking over the place. (I assume someone is, since the power's still on and there are no "for sale" signs.)
Jem Cohen's Chain had some extended shots of abandoned places. Very little storytelling. You can definitely file that one under the genre of boring movie.
There's an abandoned grocery near my house. I think it should be converted into a roller rink.
