01 March 2006

Announcing the MetaChat Book of the Month for March. You have selected to read At Swim, Two Boys, by John O'Neill.[More:] Our moderator will be rebirtha.

--The Pine Barrens, by John McPhee
---At Swim, Two Boys, by Jamie O'Neill
--The Comedians, by Graham Greene
-The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down, by Anne Fadiman
-Irons in the Fire, by John McPhee

We had a three-way tie. Rather than using coin flips to resolve ties in the future, how do people want to handle ties? I could just double count my vote, but that seems a bit autocratic, especially with so few votes.
Better deals than just Amazon at BookFinder

Could we have a little better tracking in the Wiki of dates and such? Like put the announcements there, rather than just in a post that scrolls off quickly due the thrills, danger, lust and excitement that is MeCha?

Fuck, now I have to lead a discussion for the first time since Reed. I hope no one expects me to be any GOOD.

What do you mean? The day of the discussion will be up to our moderator, if that's what you want to know.

On your marks, get set, go! Buy it and read it (or use a library) as soon as you can. ReRe decides when we gab.

Learn from past mistakes. ;)
