Fun story.

Waiters/waitresses have to work so hard (everywhere) and put up with so much shit (in the U.S. and other places with tip-propelled service pay schemes) that it really makes me wish for a heaping helping of Karmic justice for their abusers.

Thank the gods this wasn't posted to MeFi. Those threads suck.

I waited tables for a number of years in my early 20s. I liked it because it wasn't boring (except when it was) and because it was challenging in both people skills and efficient multitasking ways.

Some blogs should be required reading. I've seen people treating waiters and other service people like they're not real people. It's mind boggling.

Waiterrant was linked to at Mefi a while back and I've been reading it since. He's a good writer.
