Jaan Pehechaan Ho Some of you may recall this little number from the film Ghost World, others as the opening scene of the 1965 Bollywood extravaganza Gumnaam.[More:] Either way, and especially if you haven't seen it before, you owe it to yourself to check out "Ted Lyons and the Cubs" lip-synching over Mohammed Rafi's vocal. Absolute sub-zero cool. via

Wow, I love that!

Hay, if you wear an eye mask like that, I'll let you do me.

Um... well, thanks, but I'm spoken for. Glad you liked the clip, though.

Slightly OT, but mondo-digital.com is one of my favorite websites. And that movie looks awesome.

Based on the strength of the clip's appearance in Ghost World I looked for for Gumnaam for more than a year, and finally found it when I joined Netflix. I can say without hesitation that the Jaan Pehechaan Ho sequence is both an aberration (the story is mostly a melodramatic thriller) and by far the best part of the film.

And it comes early.

I still love this sequence, though. It'd be a killer party theme.

goatdog - you can get it here, along with a lot of other Bollywood stuff.

I play Bollywood music, including the originally posted track, on my Metachat radio all the time.
