I didn't see the original, so I don't know if there are rules behind the clues, but what the hey. I'll try to take from my DVD collection:
1. Rappers achieve fame, group splits and solo projects bomb, group reunites
2. Man comes to Texas town, films documentary, films people periodically breaking out into song.
3. Cop and criminal find love, and a baby to steal.
4. Ex-soldier asks his childhood hero to help him rid his hood of the gangsters that killed his brother.
5. Car chase through BART tunnels.
6. Poor Ned Beatty.
7. He tawt he saw a bunny wabbit, then decides to die to save his family and his new girlfriend.
8. Swords, guitars, communists.
9. White guy embezzles, crashes the Asian stock market, writes and sells the story that is made into this movie.
10. Freak of Nature battles French aliens, stinky pits and all, baby.
11. "The door is closing, the door is closing..."
12. Dreamer wanders around getting existential, then floats away.
13. Dreamer runs TV station surprisingly well.
