Yeah, I heard about the Ramones angle and now I try and think of it sped-up and raunchier. I have a hard time imagining it though, so I'd like to hear some punk outfit give it a whirl.

Apropos of Springsteen, I just finished revising the Because the Night article in time to see the song desecrated on American Idol, by a chick singer whose closest contact with soul is, apparently, the fillet variety.
