OMG! A competent piece of science reporting in the mainstream press! [More:]... and on a reasonably complex and somewhat emotional topic, too. I'm impressed, go David Baines!

Don't worry, it's just Don Cherry. Us Canucks are protected from his garish suits through repeated exposure every Saturday.

I'm so writing this David Baines guy to commend him.

grouse - yeah, it's unfortunate that complex issues take more time to explain properly to a lay audience; and this is probably why there's a dearth of good science reporting =(

but aren't colds and "acute respiratory" things different?

why didn't they test on regular colds?

Exactly, amberglow.

(oh, colds [many different viruses, rhinoviruses are common] and flues [influenza virus] can be classified as acute respiratory things.

But yeah, the testing where ColdFx pulled their advertising numbers from - it's all horseshit [the numbers that is, the testing is "ok"])
