FlySpy! (coming soon, i hope!) The way it works is that I give it a departure city and a destination city and optionally a departure date and length of stay. The search result, which returns very quickly, will present me with a graph of flight prices over the next 30 days so that I can quickly look at which days are the cheapest to fly. To book a flight I just click on the point in the graph. Simple.

It's a good concept. Here's to hoping it pushes the rest of the industry a little bit closer towards friendliness.

My favorite flight search of the moment is Kayak. I'm all smitten with it because:

1) it makes it really easy to filter flights by precise arrival and departure times.
2) it's wickedly thorough about checking different airlines
3) the flight is booked through airline websites, so I don't have a third company involved (except in helping me find the deal)
4) it's really damned easy to use
