What is it with cats and guitar cases? Are pumas and/or lynx similarly attracted to double bass cases. WTF? If was to unpack a nine-foot grand piano would a tiger be eager to fil the void?
yup...it's a protected place to watch prey from. : >

dang, I have a great photo somewhere of Jeff the cat in my guitar case. He would hop in there every opportunity he got.

Cats are somehow intrinsically attracted to specific types of objects. Musical instruments is one of these types.

My cat was always on my turntables and records. Cat hair and vinyl stick together like velcro.

Cats enjoy any enclosed space. Copy box lid, grocery bag. I've also noticed that, given an entire large dining table to choose from, even a dining table covered with discarded sections of the Sunday paper, they prefer to sit on the exact section of the paper that I had planned to read next.

Guitar cases have that fuzzy lining, too. So it's very attractive.

Of course it would. The more interesting question is whether it'd be alive or dead when you reopened the box.

I appreciate the explainations but... Jeff the Cat is there. And the ex-guitar place in question is a very active space. I have been in and out of that case myslef like a player the last 2 hours. 10 times at least. They still seem to covet it. They end up therelike dust bunnies. Little bastards. As soon as aI leave it open they are there. It is almost supernatural.

And now they don't want to sleep there now that I want them to? WTF? I'll leave it alone but it is going to bother me for a bit. Fucking cats. God damn it.

Obviously, they're visiting the catgut cemetary to say hi to grandpa.

So long as they don't piss in the case I don't care but it is interesting x 2. It is a mystery!

SEE! I am going to bed and I have an open case on my bed. They are like idiots. Smart idiots. What, Who Me? Fucking cats. This looks comfy!

Despite my hostility they stick like bugs. I have a wet dream and there is a cat licking up the cum so long as I jizz in the case. It's like that! FFS! No joke!

Fucking cats are evil and so I get to sleep with them. Lovely beasts. Yay!

The guitar case I currently have was given to me by a guy I worked with. Apparently the case fell over and killed one of his wifes bunnies and she couldn't bear to have it in the house after that.

Yep, my guitar case is a bunny killer.

Dude, I sense a disturbance in the force. As if a million guitar cases descended upon a million helpless bunnies, and then... silence.
