Beavage Cleavage! I know what most of you sick-os thought when you saw the website for the Save The Bald Beaver campaign.

Well, what I thought of was that great episode from that dismally underrated cartoon series "The Angry Beavers": "Sans-A-Pelt", in which our heroes, Norbert and Daggett (flawlessly played by Nick Bakay and Richard Horvitz), found themselves far from home and fur-less from the neck down.

And especially, I was thinking of the wonderful musical number from that cartoon featuring the lovely Shared Sheep Singers. (mp3 file via yousendit.com)

Odd site. It misspells Castor Canadensis as clastor canadensis and Castor Canadensis is commonly called the North American Beaver and not "the bald beaver".

Ok so I went to the store and friends pages. ;)

yeah, these days even something that sounds like it could be meant innocently is pretty much guaranteed to be meant as a reference - I wouldn't even believe a 'save the beavers' page, I don't think - people who want to actually help these critters will just include beavers among a buncha other mammals or they will take advantage knowingly of the double entendre... but once you get to "bald beaver" - forget it. It'd be like naming your daughter "Pussy".

There is a big difference between bald beavers and shaved ones.
