I just had my very first (real) job interview today and...[More:]
...I think it went really well! I anticipated most of the questions, and I didn't take too long coming up with an answer for the one curveball. We had a good conversation about the work atmosphere and how the company is suited for my experience (and vice versa). I don't particularly want to work there (bad location, don't really agree with the politics of the industry), but it really boosted my confidence.

Nice work! You've got a great attitude about the process.

Now wtf am I supposed to do for a thank-you note? email? buy stationary? a hallmark card? etiquette is lame...

the more you do it the easier it gets...it's a game, really.

i send thank you emails--short and sweet, to each human you met with. Something like "Thank you for taking the time to meet with me yesterday. The company sounds like a great place to work, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information, or would like to set up another meeting."

If you want to send a thank you letter, I usually use the same stationery my resume & cover letter were. But keep it short & sweet like amber said.
