Have you ever received a secret valentine in real life? Besides MeCha valentines. What happened?
Yes, back in high school. They had those fundrasier "flowergrams" - you could send a carnation to someone for $2 or something like that. I got a couple of anonymous ones over the course of my high school career, and no one ever admitted to sending them.
You know what, I have never sent a secret valentine, nor even many not-secret ones. And because I sent a secret one on MeCha today and got a big kick out of it, I think I should. It's better to seize the day and make it special in that way than to wistfully think about how I don't get Valentines. So, I think at lunch, I'll head over to the mall and buy some chocolates, and give them out to my co-workers.
Every single day ladies send me emails like "WANNA FUCK BUDY" and ";) [582s] I'LL SUCK YOU DRY". Now, I don't know where these anonymous ladies find me, but it's sweet that they care.
I got secret-admirer flowers every Valentine's Day for like five years in a row. I'm pretty sure they were from a guy I had slept with out of spite when I found out my first husband was fucking around. I mean, I really did like the guy, and would have continued seeing him... but my husband talked me out of leaving.
You know, cmonkey, those ladies are fickle because they've been flirting with me as well. They all seem very concerned that my unit is undersized, which only means that they haven't been talking to my exes. I suppose that is a good thing.
Nope, never. I was a smart shy dork in high school, and rather unpopular. I guess I'm making up for it now, but I've still never gotten a secret anything.
I never got a secret valentine, but I got a series of anonymous love notes written on my door in college. They were fun at first, but then got progressively darker. Not threatening, just kind of sad and desperate. Some friends and I compared the handwriting with just about every guy I knew until we figured out who it was. He copped to it. Then a couple years later, he came out of the closet.
Let me qualify and correct that by saying I never received one unironically. Middle school was worse than high school, and kids didn't even try to hide when it was a joke.
