Can Someone do me a favour and log onto radio metachat and irc, to tell me if I'm working.. I'm trying a freeware client for osx and want to see if does what everyone needs.

I'm at work but I clicked on the radio and I got something that had your name on it. Can't do IRC though.

I can report we have a good and true free MacOSX application for being a metachat radio DJ. Bonus: It lets you talk & it has ducking. Badnesses: It's abandonware, I don't think it can read v2 mp3 tags, there's no 64kbs encoding (56 is the nearest) and it's not as live as I'd like.

I'll pop some instructions up onto the wiki later, but if you can't wait until then go to www.macamplite.com and download/install the MacAmpLite-r11c1.dmg file.

What is "ducking"? Does it make you sound like Donald Duck?

Ducking is where, if you talk, it automatically turns the music down, and then turns it up again when you stop talking.

OK, well any DJs will need to have v1 tags on their files so they can meet the licensing requirements.
