There Was Supposed to be a Big Snowstorm And there isn't. I am disappointed. →[More:]I dragged my sick self down to the liquor store last night so I wouldn't have to have a whisky free snowstorm & I went to the supermarked & everything, but blah, it's just stupid rain.

Funny how a few degrees one way or the other can make a winter wonderland or just a crappy rainy day.

Still waiting up here in VA. I was convinced it was going to be stupid rain, but they are still saying 2-5 inches, starting any minute. . .or not. It's nice to hunker in, anyway. (Gym - check. Grocery - check. Liquor store - check.)

Well, in the silver linings department, I would never have found those webcams without this post, and now I can look at Mt. Mitchell whenever I want. Or this most wonderful view of the birds of Blowing Rock.

Maybe the Raleigh Curse has migrated west. We're always on the rain side of the snow/rain line. Which is precisely why I'm about to crack a beer, abandoned my bra, and am wearing sweats.
