Upon return from summer break Hermione whips up a potion that turns water into Bourbon and regales Ron and Harry with stories of her new found loves; boys, Soho clubs, cigarettes and Bourbon Slush. The friends drink late into the night as Hermione becomes more voluble and Harry becomes more morose. Suddenly Harry smiles and says "I learned a new spell this summer"! He pulls an apple from his pocket and asks Hermione to put it on her head.

Ron and Harry stand stunned looking at the lifeless Hermione. Ron grabs Harry and says "We are in for it now. Dumbledore will hang us. Or worse!" The boys flee but in their panic take the wrong set of moving stairs and in an unfamiliar hallway encounter a Mugwump that offers sanctuary in the Interzone. There the two friends explore sexuality and friendship in ways they had never before imagined.
