I went to Tulane and got a very moving plea to come down from a native classmate. I simply can't due to my mother's health, but if it makes you feel better, she's recruited five or six ex-patriots and their families to make it down there. It breaks my heart. She says with so many trees gone, there is too much sun and sky. She's only comfortable at night.

I'm going down but probably not till after Mardi Gras, more likely when my moms needs my semi-skilled finish work done on her deluged house. If that coincides then I am all up in there.

I've choked on the platic baby from a king cake on three different occasions.

I will also be going down at the end of June for ALA. I've already told mom dukes that the air condition has to be run for six days prior to my arrival.
