i get it sometimes, but thank God not always.

(usually concerning work, where i'm always sitting in the same place with the same people around.)

the "silly things are said" idea was really for a thread of goofy remarks, and isn't related to the article linked (the addition of which was an afterthought).

i've always been interested (without advocating or condemning) the use of the word "declined".

As in:
"An offer by the bedraggled young woman of sexual favors in exchange for contraband was declined by the pimp."

I like the word, "settlers".

But it's best when pronounced "set-lers" - just the two syllables, please.
