Is last FM dead? I noticed much of the music I played last week was not on my last FM list. [More:] It showed five Johnny Cash songs when I played two full albums back to back. A lot of other groups don't show up at all. I found the audioscrobbler log file and it says "database overloaded. handshake failed" It has a cache of songs but only the last five. Now the Last FM site will not load.
They were having problems with their submission servers; I was seeing the same thing in my log. They came back the other day, but now they're doing maintainance.

it seems to be getting buggier and buggier. The player doesn't work for me nearly as smoothly as it used to. Of course, this could be due to lots of things I suppose.

Give 'em a couple of days, it will all be worked out. The submissions server problem is supposedly solved (it depends on which cluster your user profile is stored on, and they developed an imbalance among the clusters for complicated reasons that will be complicated if not impossible to rectify), but things may still queue up on your end, and the streaming radio server was taken down for an upgrade.

Oh, for me, compared to one year ago, the glitches and downtime are practically nothing, and they've become much better at communicating with the users.
