How much would you pay for all this??? So I bought this CD second hand...→[More:]and I really like it. Now this is not a big popular artist and it's her first release, so I feel like she deserves to make money from it. The question is, what to do? Send a cheque (if so, for how much)? Buy a new copy and give it to a friend? Guide me mecha.

i'd spread the word like this, and send her 10 or 15 bucks--if you really loved it, and can ensure that she'll get it herself, and not her label or agents.

I bought the UK version which was more expensive (different track ordering), if that helps.

P.S. This is the woman who used to sing with Tricky, and she's guested on a bunch of tracks from other artists, so it's not like she's a *totally* new artist. I'm sure jokeefe can give you more information on her.

P.P.S. If you haven't heard her work with Tricky, you should give it a try. I'm a big fan of the 'Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos' cover, on Maxinquaye.
