also, we blew out a front wheel pretty severely right before the first checkpoint. but thanks to a sledgehammer borrowed from a team of gallaghers, we were able to nurse it along for the rest of the race.

cop, driving by: "looks like you guys got a flat tire there."

also also, the cops were fairly tolerant and even enjoying the race. the morning of the race, the start point was changed from williamsburg to ft greene at last minute, ostensibly to confuse the cops but more likely to confuse the participants.

sixth and lastly, we got amazing recognition as the shatners.
