Hey, P-town, notice anything strange? Like, five minutes ago, I think...
We had an earthquake! It was just a baby one, but still. The cats freaked.

I thought you were talking about Provincetown, MA, for a minute.

My roommates, fresh from New Mexico, were really confused. But it reminded me of my California childhood, and now I am wistful.

Oh. You linked it too. Oopsie. :-)

I can come over and shake you if you want, c.

I had no idea what the hell was going on. I thought something might have crashed into my water heater. Like the prow of a great airship, maybe.

City of Portland was outside jackhammering at my sidwalk earlier, in the day so I was really confused. It felt like someone crashed a truck into the house.

there was a zeppelin in my dream last night, and Gormenghast castle.

I once lived three years with a massive sewer project on my street (connected with Deep Tunnel, Chicagoans). I figure a 2.8 has got to be indistinguishable from that.

I'm still pissed from when they blew out my power and partly fried my computer.

I'm pretty skeptical that any human can feel a 2.8 that's nine miles down...

It shook my house (and the couch I was sitting on). Earthquakes are strange things.

I thought I had broken a creaky floorboard. I was on the phone with my buddy and the floor is going "squeak squeak" so I stomped down my foot hard and BOOM! There was a loud noise. It wasn't until he asked "did you feel that" that I realized I had not fucked shit up like I thought I had.

Take that, you sniveling floor!!
