Don't be sad. It's just temporary, while dabitch is hosting metachat on her server, to cut down on the bandwidth. When dodgy switches metachat to the new server (I think he's in the process), all the bells and whistles will come back.

Si. On the wiki Current Events page*, there is a note from dodgy: "New hosting has been purchased but it'll take a while for installation and to get everything ready. Current ETA is Tuesday PM (hopefully earlier)".

* not a snarky way of saying that you should be checking the Current Events page - I just noticed this entry there today, and think it's a nice way of posting these kinds of things so they don't get lost on the front page here.
