So why is this icky? Because they're taking advantage of ostensibly non-commercial and/or personal writings?

I guess I'm sort of impressed by the technical side of it.

Didn't say anything about icky. In fact, what I was alluding to was how inaccurate it can be even if they filter for sarcasm.

But, yes, scanning people's personal websites for information on them (race, age, etc) can be considered icky. Even if the technology behind it is wicked cool, man.

Oh, and Sony still sucks.

This quote from the article makes me wonder if they're legit. or full of it.

Because a lot of people on the 'net can't detect sarcasm, I really doubt they've developed an AI to do it. Hah, AI, as if. I'm sure their piddley little web crawler can't do that.
