This song is corny , but damn it's pretty. And it reminds me of some people in the rear veiw mirror.

(also, it's neither live nor acoustic, just a studio version, despite mislabeling)
Its amazing how the Allman Brothers sound so much like the Grateful Dead and vice versa. In a good way.

Are you a fan of Los Lobos at all, jon? They have some truly brilliant songs that are like sonic paintings, just fantastic. If I were at home I'd post a couple for you. Maybe tonight.

Oh yeah. "Will The Wolf Survive?" is (IMHO) one of the best songs of the 1980's and 'River Of Fools' and their cover of 'I Got Loaded' ain't far behind, but I do generally prefer the straight ahead boogie and conjunto stuff to the more jammy stuff, but I'll give anything a shot.

Some of the tracks on Kiko are so pretty that make my heart ache. I haven't listened to alot of their newer stuff but that older stuff is just gorgeous!

I picked up the Big Star cd today. It's pretty good. I only got through the first half in my car but I'm impressed. Thanks for the rec.

Kiko and the Lavender Moon by Los Lobos. This, like lots of great music, is best with your eyes closed, turned up nice and loud.
