Due to a flareup of bursitis, I'm learning to use the mouse left-handed. [More:] Anyone else done this? Did it also seem to you screamingly wrong, with every thought process seems slowed down and everything I'm doing on the computer clumsy as hell?

Thanks for letting me whine.
I switched -- I don't have bursitis, but it does mess with some muscle in my shoulder to mouse right-handed. You'll get used to it; took me about 3 days. Maybe take you longer if you're one of those graphic designer types.

I have no problem switching, but I'm left handed and usually mouse with my right, so that makes a bit of sense. Are you trying to switch to your off hand? I find that my off hand requires a bit more training.

I can use the mouse with my non-dominant hand to a limited extent. I'll switch off during the day, just to give my dominant hand a rest.

It's not too hard to get used to.

Whoo! You can hang out with us cool lefties for awhile now.

Yeah, using the mouse with your left hand is a sign of ultimate coolness and intelligence. Lefties rule!

I switched a year or so ago (carpal tunnel right wrist) and after about a week it was totally no big deal. The first few days were miserable, but hang in there and you will conquer! Seriously, using a mouse right handed seems clumsy and wrong to me now; I only ever do it if I'm trying to draw. It just takes a little time. And then you get ultimate coolness points, too. ;-)
