Yeah, I know it's a bit unlikely. But I figured I'd ask anyway.

There is a bar I went to when I spent a week there. It was fun. I can't remember it right now but I'll ask my buddy tonight what it was. It's a sports bar, if that matters. A weird sports bar though. Really hip looking. At first we thought it was a private thing because it was so hip feeling, but no, the owner is just weird it seems. Lots of plasma screens. It's downtown, right near the train thingy which is fun to ride drunk. There's also a crazy gay bar across the street from it. Crazy because it's a gay bar in SLC.

Wow. I'd go to a gay bar, if it was in SLC.

The again, the mormons that I've met have all been really tolerant. Creepy. But tolerant.

Not that I've met a whole lot of mormons (and the one's I've met have either been urbanized or scientamagicamifacized). Have known a lot of ex mormons...

This is no help in getting you drunk, cmonkey, but my wife and I went to Salt Lake several years ago (not long after the tornados). Treated ourselves to some Taco Bell, where they pegged us for outsiders right away. A guy offered us a place to sleep, and I remember him insisting "We're not all Mormons, you know."

Whatever that means we wound up camping at an amusement park.

Mormons are pretty nice. But their liquor laws suck. I found a decent bar a few years ago in SLC, but I promptly forgot where it was, or what it was called.

When I was in this situation I had sucess at the Cheers To You at 315 South Main St. Very nice chatty folks there and the bartender let me slide on the membership when she found out I was from out of town.
