The New User Sign Up page doesn't mention one word about self-links. It should. It does, however, link to the Guidelines page, which says something to the effect of "Don't link to your own website and ask for feedback" or some such thing. It's too vague, and how many new users are reading the guidelines? The New User Sign Up page needs to be rewritten, because there are way too many freaking self-links lately, and although I know some of them are on purpose, I don't think all of them are.
