I'd like to get notifications without making my email public.

I don't mind getting email, but I don't want to people knowing my address. Ideal would be a forwarding mechanism, but that's a lot to ask from dodgygeezer and taz.

You could setup a Gmail account specifically for this. Gmail can forward select emails to whatever address you want. So say you just want MetaChat notifications only, you can filter the new Gmail account to forward all messages from metachat@metachat.org (that's the address) to your actual email.

As for previous posts, it's disabled at the moment I believe. The site has been flaky so dodgygeezer took it offline.

Why not make an email account specifically for MeCha? That way you could keep things compartmentalized.

Perhaps. As an alternative, you could setup a dodgeit email address. Something random and long and unlikely to be used by anyone else. Then just grab the RSS feed.
