I immediately thought "ice cream headache" when I saw her expression in the top photo, before I even knew it was sorbet she was eating. I bet she could keep smiling for the cameras even if it tasted like bad uni sprinkled with cat poop but there's no way anyone can hide an ice cream headache.

Holy Mother of Gawd that's funny. I have not laughed so hard in ages. Seriously, I pulled a muscle in my ribcage.

What made it especially hilarious is the fact that that episode just ran yesterday. True to Giada form, she had the requsite foodgasm for the cameras while tasting it. I'm glad someone took the time to break it down and show her true reaction. "I mean, it tastes like salty barnacles!"

A fellow on the radio the other day was saying Food Network was cribbing all their techniques from porn. This sequence was disturbingly reminiscent of some of that ghastly "gagging plo chops" porn.

That's why I felt so dirty when I laughed.

Her show isn't live, is it? I'm not sure why something like that would air.

Is it just me or is she both incredibly hot and also kind of strange looking?

Not live, no. I think someone went through a DVD-R with a fine-toothed comb to find those particular frames.

As for her appearance, around our house she's known as the marionette lady, mostly because of her enormous melon but also due to the constant baring of her teeth in an approximation of smiling.

SO AWESOME. My ex and I always hated that everything everyone ever ate on Food TV was worthy of an OMG BEST FOOD EVAR I"M MESSING MY PATNS RIGHT NOW.

I once saw Tyler Florence visiting Mexico and eating Juevos Rancheros and he actually told the guy who made it that it was nasty. I fell in love with Tyler a little that day. Yes, in a gay way.

Giada. Huge head. I'd hit it.

I found that waay funnier than I should have. I always wondered what would happen if something turned out to taste really bad on a live cooking show. This is close enough though.

How exactly can one make a bad tasting sorbet though? It never struck me a particularly tricky thing to make. (not that I ever made it)
