When we talk about fashion, I dream of you. [Kind of, and more inside]
The first mecha dream I can remember, some fragments before and some after, what follows is mostly the mecha-related parts
This morning, I dreamt that I was on some kind of trip for work to L.A. Except that my trip to work involved going to some kind of fashion fair. While I was wandering through the booths someone MEFI-looking stopped me and commented on my t-shirt (asking me where I got it, etc.). I started talking about how I got it from Specklet's pal SQUAREWOLF who's based in Portland. While I was yammering about the Savant Tarde design, my interviewers gave me odd looks. I looked down at the shirt and it was totally a different design. It was a Threadless robot-type shirt, but the tag said it was designed for NIKE (omg, a NIKE shirt at an indie/DIY-fashion bazaar -- blasphemy) by an Italian artist who's name I can't remember.
Jumpcut: With my workmates, and we drove up this gigantic hillside into the "country" to an old house where we were all staying -- hosted, I'm pretty sure, by Scody who was somehow involved in the t-shirt fashion thing, and according to one of my workmates was hording vast quantities of illegal substances. That is all!
Regarding this MeFi-looking someone, I assume you say MeFi-looking because that person was wearing squarish, plastic-framed eyeglasses? (also, assuming the person was a male - I don't think the female MeFis receive the standard issue glasses upon joining)
taz: Afternoon on it's way to evening....I thought I ought to correct myself on the morning/afternoon time! Must be evening for sure now. Could be SHOUTING indeed.
The MEFI-looking someone did have glasses. I think it was someone DaShiv shot recently at a Holiday event: composit of Kenko and was it ooga_booga? Sort of mefi-looking in that direction, which I realize is multiple.
The farmers all say hello, btw. Now I'm off to bother the librarians!
