I agree with the fine. She shouldn't be pulling up on the hard shoulder of the motorway to ask for directions. Plus, she was only fined 30 squid. I really don't know why people are making a fuss about this.

Mind, I'm suprised nobody has asked why the Police were parked up on the hard shoulder. Because if it wasn't an emergency for them either, then maybe someone else needs fining.

if it was the US, i'd completely say it was "that time of the month," as in quota time depending on how much the area makes off tickets.
