Carry On Regardless [More:] i'm sorry, that song won't load for some reason, nor Song for Whoever, both of which i like and i thought fit the mood.
Maybe someone else has them or i can fix the problem but You Keep It All In is a good song too and the only of the three i tried to post that worked.

me and fris talked all night and it was worth it but i'm underslept as well.
it feels like a day we should have had had a group nap, but this cuppa might do the trick.
it really has still been a good, productive day: got bills paid, late fees rescinded and extra credit applied, and everyone greeted my well meaning nature with like kindness except mr. crankypants

hmm. i think i feel better already.
Chicago Fris-aid:
so as not to forget before i can post again:
in my chattathon with frisbee girl, i said i'd try to find this great restaurant i probably spent more on sushi on in my entire life, without an ounce of regret, if it still exists.
it wasn't one of the traditional ones or asian mainstay places (if they still exist, the ones off Rush and abouts and smaller asian owned for asian types or Suntory) but contemptorary with a glass front and portico (possibly?) and paintings i loved of somewhat expressionistic shrimp on the walls and menus.
it may have been called oceana or something and i will do a search, but if it rings a bell, let out a tone, esp. if it's gone downhill, i think it was new when i found it.
(i'm gonna look for a map as i think i know where it was by area)

also, i warned her to bring gloves, hat and layers, a scarf to save her face at least, but anyone know the weather report? she hasn't seen winter in a while and some of us know the damp cold of chitown can be bitter.
if some good winter wear is truly needed, i may be able to pull a discount off for her at neimans or somewhere.

finally, my friend no longer works for the museum so no free entry passes (really sorry) and it's not set up like the met and others where you can [removed for protection of good museum tips for the poor] as far as i know (i only got to go once and not for nearly long enough. Is thursday the free day? because i don't think that works for her timing.

ok, i have have to check on another experimental sugar precipitate thing now. back in a few.

could a mod please add a "chicago tips for frisbee's trips" thingie in the post title?

Hey, thanks for getting back to me!

It was 45 degrees when I landed so it would seem that my hypothermic trauma has been delayed yet another day. Which is nice because, of course, I did forget the gloves.

hey, you're here.
or there.
heh

i'm think Agami might be the place with the crazy funky sushi stuff and Itto is the place with the crazy fresh sushi. of course, the actual denizens know best and i can't even explain where these suggestions are coming from as i really haven't done Chicago in a while.

i was just about to get the skinny on what art shows may be on and other stuff, so may there will be fun tidbits to check back on.

also a lot of people are not yet back in town or putting on anything particularly special as far as i know as of right now, but if you know of whatever you might particularly wanna see, do, hear, hang with, gawk at or whatever, i may have a few more tidbits.
take it easy, make fun a priority, and soak in the funky stuff.

the big native contingent should be chiming in with their know how.

random reccommendations and info:
sources say tuesday was free day ay the museum, but it's only around $12
this is free and today
there is a show at Victory Gardens Theater thursday that is only like $10 that is suppose to be good
and some people are excited about sketchfest
and if you haven't grabbed a Reader yet, here's the list of cheap and free art stuff

i'm glad to know prices seem pretty reasonable with stuff to do and it's turned out to be some wacky accidental fun finding out what happened to some people, places and things i did not expect.
thanks for the happy accidents.

um, i don't suppose the chi mob might be up for some covert ops of the "making the quirky evening news" type?
fun and recrimination free, of course, i'm not necessarily asking you to egg the blue man group (necessarily), but if you guys would like to indulge in some merry mayhem hum hrmm umm
heh heh heh
oh heh
maybe more later or dossy A's in the mail...
