02 January 2006

came to consciousness with serenity [More:] (the movie, which i don't mean to discuss yet or here [still digesting and need to see it again and the extras] (finally getting to start playing catch up on lots of things) but i see why people who never saw even one episode would be confused if naught else)

before anything else, i gotta talk pie.
yes, i didn't lie.
there was pie.
a pudding pie.
it was done at the same time as the cake.
the plan was to put a mechat symbol (and maybe a surprise or three) but i ended up spending chunks of the day finding out what services were still on holiday when something funny happened on the way to the forming:

let's just say, adding the requested punch, i thought people would appreciate my pieing someone in the face with it at least as much.
damn the camera for glitching the moment
*sigh*
because there are no do overs for single pie in the face moments.

all of the pie is happily in people's pieholes, but what of the cake, you ask?

well, i had to let people taste of the goodness, so i let them eat away at half the hillside and one of its arms.
i figured i might be able to do an amusing cross section, but it was mighty hard to keep people from trying to live in it.

whether that happens or not, i have another, i think better, mechat dessert item on the slate for your vicarious taste sensation, and this way i don't have to fear or aid in anyone's possible dietary or diabetic conditions.

so far it's been a pretty good year.

not even talking comparisons with the last one, i'm optimistic for this year.
i've got a year to gear up and ready for the year of the pig, things are ready to find their finalities for this cock year, and positive possibilities abound.

free from restraints, i have yet to set any schedules, itineraries or obligations, and the world seem wide open

if no one minds, i'm hoping to include mechat at some level of priority, if for nothing else, than maybe to aid a bunny here and there with at least an occassional distraction or amusement.

sometimes, when nothing has supersucked yet, one can say nothing sucks.
so, to be redundant
so far
pretty good year

ok, an easy poll question for those who dig them
(i always miss or can't give good answers for other people's)

What do you plan to get done before you finally don't have to remember not to write 2005?

It's been a while.

Get a new job. But I've been planning that for months now, and haven't even gotten a damn nibble. So.

shane: like he was so amazing i reached a new plane of consciousness?
i think the sarge's wife needs to speak of that member.

kelly: for once, it's not on the list. otherwise, i totally feel you.

bmark: since so many mechs seems to feel the same, maybe we can use the power of networking to the general betterment.
never know.
i'm indulging my positivity
blame frisbee.

here's one of mine: it's taken nearly a year, but (for the most part) the things and piles will finally the place they belongs until me and my stuff get the hell out of here.

posted by moonbird 02 January | 23:51
not an admin but this is what i meant
it's essentially a big screen story of the defunct and beloved television show Firefly

I bought Serenity but have not popped it into the DVD player yet.

Georgia just scored. I hope they win, what a comeback. Boom.

it had to go back to the store (i lucked into a rental guy having stowed one) but i think a friend is getting a copy.

i decided to add to the wiki bunny page but got a bit busy before i could add links to the "widespread uses..." part (heifer.org, etc)
but somehow stumbled on this looking for that mutant bunny store.

*idly wonders who they played but is not a big us footballer*

poll topic thing three: using my "let me talk to your manager" voice to rectify unnecessary late bill fees (bank holiday, my ash) and get restitution for crappy cable reception.

oh, and hopefully hunt down cloud atlas tomorrow.

clarification:
i just meant the first thing i did when i woke up was watch that movie.

For the last 10 months or so when I wake up in the morning my brain insists on asking the day, month and year, so I didn't have a problem with this particular turning. My theory is that I'm actually 80 and living out my dotage in a nursing home in the year 2047, and the "voice in my head" is really a doctor checking just how senile I am today.

or
maybe for the last ten months you've been transcending the conventional concept of linear time in your sleep and it is an automatic recalibration process to allow you to retain your level of functionality in this more common reality.
or
maybe it just helps you feel a little safer and more confident in knowing what you know before you have to get up.

me, i look at the clock and wonder if it is saying am or pm alot of the time.
and i hate alarms, rings, sirens and all bleepy tones of attention so much if i have to set an alarm i will always wake up before it just to avoid it.
or use the radio part that still works.

Serenity now!

i would talk of serenity now but i just can't be the spoiler, so i will try to avoid any of that.

perhaps you'd like to pick your virtual crew member as this thread is still open
anyone who didn't see the show first must have been boggled because i need to see it again just because it was jam packed and my brain was not on all full cylinders.
it had some amazing action but i love the show for the repartee and jargon as much as the characters.

also
i stick to my original answer in the linked thread.
i am a leaf on the wind.
