What's #1 on yours? Care to share it? And yes, this is a blatant attempt to add some high quality tunes to my collection. And yours. But yeah, mostly mine.
Yeah, I couldn't figure out how to get that info from last.fm; all they gave me was the artist. So I picked my favorite song and here it is for you. Drivin' and Cryin', Straight to Hell, with thanks to Goatdog, who made the cd and mailed it to me the old fashioned way.
I don't keep track of these thing very well (don't actually listen to music on the computer much), but I'm pretty sure it was Smog - Let Me See the Colts, followed closely by Fake's album, You Are Not Dead (samples).
Excellent choice, fenriq, that's been a fave of mine for along looong time!
I wanted to share one via YSI with mechas but I'm clueless. In poking around on the YSI site, "applications have been temporarily suspended", and it looks like I can only send via an email addy. Am I nuts?
(I listen to my ipod much more than my itunes, so rounding out my ipod's top 10--email me if you want any of them-- To the sky/Cure, Krafty/New Order, Caravan of Love/Housemartins, Book of Love/Magnetic Fields, Ladyflash/Go! Team, Busby Berkeley Dreams/Magnetic Fields, Baby Love Child/Pizzicato 5, Ribbons & Chains/Ian McCullogh, It's Been Done/Angela McCluskey)--It's Been Done has been the current fav for a while.
chew, just put in your own email addy. It will provide a link when it's done uploading, and you can post that link here. (unless I'm misunderstanding the problem you're having with it.)
I know taz - I finally figured it out, through the clouds of hangover. It's because I keep all the yousendit music in one big folder called miscellaneous and play that all the time; it's like permanent radio mecha. :-) And, actually I do like that song too. Although my latent coolness is embarrassed by it.
#1 in Itunes is this vaguely eastern european/ polish folk rock thing called Taniec Chasidyzki (which i reckon means Hasidic Dance). I have no idea where I got it from, but the melody is very light and happy. Which is why I listen to it so often, I guess.
In iTunes, #1 is Of Montreal - Will You Come and Fetch Me with a playcount of 85(!). On my last.fm it is Chris and Thomas - Take These Thoughts, which I cannot ysi because I bought it from the iTunes store and its DRM'ed all to hell.
