I'm good, how y'all?

I'm less than an hour away from going home, so I'm pretty good. What's shakin' in Memphis?

I'm unpacking my brother's books. Terribly exciting. And watching Walker, Texas Ranger. I've been here since Tuesday night and have only left his apartment to go to Wal-Mart. Not exactly a vacation. Heh. But it is back home tomorrow, yes indeedy. I hope I do not find a dead mouse in my bed or something because I left the cat in the house with all the doors to bedrooms open. Hmm.

I'm tipsy and listening to the Flaming Lips' 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' [track 3 recently stared in Capn's name that song contest]. Personally it's weird because when I was a baby my parents had a little Japanese Spaniel named Yoshimi that bit me in the face. I carry the scar to this day, it's not noticeable but I'll show it to you if you ask me in person.

You should go to Corky's for some damn fine barbeque.

on the topic of barbecue, the Rendezvous (downtown, on Second) and Central BBQ (midtown, on Central) are good too.. imho, better than corky's.

No time on Beale. I went back home with my brother after he was here with us for Christmas, so I could help him unpack in his new apartment, so I didn't take time to see any of the local attractions. Although we drove past Graceland and the airport on the way home so mom and my stepfather could see them.

We ate at Nick's in Carlisle, Arkansas, which is a great little fish/bbq place. I had chopped pork, cole slaw, baked beans, catfish filets and hushpuppies. It was all very good and the waitress was hot. Frankly I would rather eat at Nick's than one of the crowded, noisy places in Memphis which are not any better in the first place.

I am now home, btw. And very very tired. Must attempt to catch up on Metachat threads. Not bothering with Mefi. Blurb.
