It is better than it used to be, although they've gotten a bit "district-happy" in the last few years. Good places to visit include the Eiteljorg and Indiana State Museum [which is right next door] currently has an exhibition of Lord of the Rings costumes and props. DEFINITELY go to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. I'm convinced that it is the best of its kind. I'm not sure about the art scene there, its been awhile since I've gone there for entertainment purposes.

It's also very flat.

I've only been to Indianapolis a few times, but the only thing that pops into my head is basketball (Ball State, IU or the Pacers).

The LotR exhibit is indeed pretty cool, but unfortunately is only there through Jan. 3rd.

The Children's Museum sounds cool, I'll definitely check that one out. As for LotR...I've always referred to it as BotR (as in bored), so I'm not missing much there. :D Thanks, you guys.

Take a trip down 37 and visit Bloomington. Now that's a great town. : )

How long ya gonna be there? Visit Conner Prairie if you'll be around for awhile (it's closed but for special occasions from November to March); it's a bit outside town, but interesting.

February 20-24, tentatively. I'm looking forward to my 1st trip to the midwest - only other place I've seen is Chicago.
