Someone has a sense of humour. So at the video store today...[More:] they had those Two Crappy Movies For The Price Of One sets. And one of them was Constantine and The Devil's Advocate. Which is to say, two Keanu Reeves v. The Devil movies. Which I found amusing. Can you think of other similarly amusing combos?
I enjoyed Devil's Advocate.

I was stuck watching Lifetime movies with my mom on Christmas Eve and there were commercials for buying a two movie set of flicks entitled "Mom at 16" and "Too Young to Be A Dad".

True story: decades ago, a movie theather burned to the ground.
Its marquee featured Stardust Memories and Up in Smoke.

I remember seeing a marquee advertising:

The Firm
Free Willy

True story: the marquee at the little two-screen theater in my hometown once said this:

STOP OR MY MOM WILL
SHOOT - JFK

I think the series really started to lose focus around Up 'n' Cummers #7, The Search For Buried Treasure.

Yeah, but your favorite flick is the Pirates of Penzasse.

I hope we're not going to get into pr0n titles, because nothing will ever outdo "Shaving Ryan's Privates"...

My favorite mainstream double features...

"Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Dude Where's My Car"

"Police Academy" and "Training Day"

"Black Sunday" and "Next Friday"

"Forget Paris" and "Remember the Titans"

"The Man Without a Face" and "The Man with Two Brains"

"Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" and "The Incredible Shrinking Man"

"Mission: Impossible" and "It Could Happen to You"

"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Vanilla Sky"

"Fanny and Alexander"
and
"Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice"
and
"Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"
is a triple feature that's fun to say out loud.

...nothing will ever outdo "Shaving Ryan's Privates"...

Heh! I always remember that John Waters interview with Terry Gross in which he said Shaving Ryan's Privates was more of an influence on him than Saving Private Ryan ever will be. Evidently Waters has weekly screenings of pron films at his house, complete with a marquee announcing the title (much to the chagrin and dismay of his neighbors.)

shane... hmm, I find the marque story a bit hard to swallow. I once saw an expose on Waters' house and there were some very strange things in it and out it but no marquee. This was maybe 3 years ago. Did you know he takes a polaroid of every single person who knocks on his door?
