AskMeCha: Travel Which of those destinations would you choose? (i may have a week off at the end of Jan)

I'd go to Stockholm as I have yet to see Scandinavia.

I would not recommend Bratislava.

How is Stockholm in Jan? unbearably cold or no? (i've been to Copenhagen, and loved it)

Trieste sounds cool, but i hear it's lacking in great museums and nightlife, and generally sleepy but with a Vienna-like air to it.

I did Milan, Florence and Venice last Jan, so that's out.

Pau - really nice city and short train trip to the Pyrenees. Did it earlier this year - fantastic.

Marseille is an interesting city, but it's also a dangerous one, and it's kind of physically ugly, to boot.

Given the list, I'd probably choose Dublin or Glasgow, but that's just me.

I have been told that if Florence is to one's taste, then Bologna would be even more so. Since I luuuurve Florence, I would go to Bologna failing which I would go visit Krakow again. Besides, it's a fun name to say: Krakow!

I would go to Scandanavia if it isn't too cold. Granada is great. Krakow is beautiful. (although, personally I've been to the last 2, so if not Scandanavia then somewhere in Ireland.)

Sadly, I've never been to any of those places, and have never even heard of some of them. That said, I'd pick Dublin -- I love me the Irish.

I hadn't even thought about the weather issue with Sweden. But they make such lovely sweaters, it would be worth it.

Krakow would also be tempting. I love me some Eastern Europe.

a friend of mine went to stockholm for turkey day.
she was slim on the details besides pastries, per usual.

jrossi, i'm up for it as long as we don't transfer debt and other ugly sundries.
does this mean i can get one of those candian comic grants?

Florence is a great city (I'd avoid Rome and Milan) and I've heard good things about Barcelona
